Bite

In this lifetime,
there will be wolves,
dressed in men’s clothing
who will come knocking
at your door,
cloaked in scarlet,
with wasps disguised
in honey words.
The words ‘no’ and ‘stop’
are not in their vocabulary,
only the word ‘devour’.
Never offer your home to them,
don’t let them in.
But when they force open your door
and look at you without guilt,
bare your teeth
and bite hard.
Bite,
until you see red,
until they regret
no one warned them about you.
